Peter Jackson
Founder & Managing Director

Peter is a descendant of the Mandandanji and Gunggarri Traditional Custodians from the Roma and Mitchell areas of southwest QLD. Peter has worked for various organisations as an engagement officer with the National Disability Insurance Agency, Department of Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, and more recently as a mentor for Indigenous apprenticeships and trainees. He also been volunteering for not-for-profit organisations as a recognised community leader.

Peter has made a considerable contribution to the southwest region, most notably as chair of the Southwest Indigenous Network (SWIN) for more than a decade and more recently as the deputy chair for the Queensland Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Cricket Advisory Committee. Passionate about Indigenous employment, training and mentoring, he sees the benefits of building partnerships with the Indigenous communities.

Peter’s personal commitment over a lifetime of work, and that of the Mandana Team, is to achieve a high standard of Indigenous participation within the Resource, Renewables and Construction sectors across Queensland.
